The holidays are a time for high spirits and good deeds, both of which are being shown by the folks over at Canon.  They’ve just announced that, in a partnership with the Arbor Day foundation, the company has planted over 78,000 trees in 2011 alone.

“Environmental protection and restoration has always been a top priority for Canon,” says senior director Bunji Yano. “Our reforestation efforts with the Arbor Day Foundation have been a great success, and we look forward to preserving and replenishing more forests for future generations to enjoy.”

Canon has been working with the Arbor Day foundation since 2009 and has planted a total of 112,330 trees, including a massive undertaking in the Manchester State forest in South Carolina and the Bayfield County Forest in Wisconsin.
