We’ve just finished publishing our hands on review of Canon’s PowerShot SX500 IS; a compact ultra-zoom camera for $ 300 or less. Likely one of the most affordable ultra-zooms current available, the SX500 IS packs a punch with a 30x optical zoom lens that covers and equivalent range of 24-720mm. You get plenty of resolution with a 16-megapixel image sensor, and a nice view from the 3.0-inch LCD screen.
