The Curiosity Rover Sends Down a Panoramic Self Portrait

Curiosity-Pano.jpgWhile no photographer worth his salt
will encourage the arm-out self portrait that’s so common on
Facebook, we’re going to go ahead and say that it’s okay to do if
you’re stranded on a planet over 100 million miles from Earth.

The latest images from the Curiosity
rover are fascinating. The panorama is taken in the Gale Crater on
Mars and gives us a good look at the Martian landscape. You can also
see evidence of some of the drilling that Curiosity has done in order
to study the planet.
