Can someone give me some tips on bringing a digital camera to a foreign country?

I’;m planning on staying my summer in Poland with some of my family. Usually, I bring a normal camera with film and what not but it’s always a hassle getting the pictures developed. I want to bring my digital camera with me so I can take pictures. The camera is battery powered and I will have limited access to my uncle’s computer, but I won’t be able to upload the pictures I don’t think. Any tips or ideas?

If you’re bringing a digital camera, but will not be able to upload the pictures until your return, I would suggest:

    1) Digital camera

    2) Memory card (+ spare memory card) : get cards with large memory capacity e.g. 1GB or 2GB so you can take plenty of photos without worrying of running out of space and having to delete some photos

    3) Rechargeable batteries : it’s cheaper in the long run than buying batteries on the go, and have two sets so you can change one in while charging the other set that is depleted of power

    4) Charger for batteries

    5) An adaptor or converter for the charger
