The GoPro Hero 3 is the latest from the
company specializing in wearable/mountable FOV cameras for extreme
conditions and high-action sports. It’s only 70 percent of the size
of the previous iteration and 75 percent of the weight, making it
easy to take with you wherever you go. It’s also available in three
different flavors, depending on your needs.
The high end $ 399 Black Edition does
something very special – it shoots in 4K resolution. Framerate
gets bumped down to 15fps when shooting at that speed, but you’ll
still get the standard 30fps on other resolutions.
The Silver Edition, at $ 299, is capable
of 11-megapixel still shots and 1080p video while the White Edition
drops that to 5-megapixels at a price of $ 199. All three cameras
pack Wi-Fi connectivity and the Black Edition even comes with a
remote with a range of 600 feet.
