The Lytro is the first light field camera made for consumers, and its ability to let you focus your shot after the fact is downright amazing. It’s not the kind of thing a lot of us want to drop money on without playing with it first though, and that’s a problem Lytro is solving; at least if you live in the right place.
Customers on the west coast will be able to check out the Lytro at CityTarget locations – this includes L.A., San Francisco, Seattle and Westwood. Those based in Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia will also be able to check out the camera in stores.
For the rest of us, the camera will be available online through Best Buy, Target and Amazon.
