The latest update to the Coolpix P7000 introduces a bit of new functionality in addition to the bug fixes that tend to dominate firmware notes. Primarily, you’ll notice a more accurate autofocus that has an easier time picking out the intended subject instead of focusing on the background.
In addition to the autofocus improvement, you’ll now be able to use the camera’s self-timer while having auto bracketing enabled.
The update also includes corrected appearances for aperture settings, as well as changes to the way NRW (RAW) images are handled and a fix for button combinations that had undesired consequences. You can download it and read the full notes at Nikon Support.
