We’re only a few short days away from Christmas and that means you’re probably in for some fun times with the family — fun times that you’ll want to capture in pictures. While you still have a bit of time left, it couldn’t hurt to review a few holiday shooting tips.
Jeff Cable – photographer and marketing director for Lexar – has put together some tips for shooting over the holidays. Some are a bit basic, but all are worth remembering. It can be easy to forget, for example, that a gift being used is often more exciting than the gift being opened. If you’re snapping shots of presents being opened though, you can slow down your shutter speed for a bit of motion as the package is torn open.
Last but not least, prepare your camera ahead of time. Bring empty memory cards, charge your batteries and bring the lenses you’ll need.
