The folks over at Olympus have finally announced pricing on the E-PM1. Their smallest Digital PEN camera to date, the E-PM1 is built with ease of use and affordable in mind. With the kit M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED m14-42mm II R f3.5/5.6 Zoom Lens, you can snag an E-PM1 for just $ 499 US.
Just because it’s easier to use, and cheaper, doesn’t mean it loses the features you’ll find on other PEN cameras though. It offers a 12.3 megapixel LIVE MOS sensor, in-body image stabilization, their TruePic VI Image processing engine, the new FAST (Frequency Acceleration Sensor Technology) AF system, and even Shadow Adjustment Technology, which helps keep subjects from looking too dark.
The PEN E-PM1 will be available in September at a price of $ 499; with a variety of colors to choose from; purple, pink, brown, white, silver and black. See our Olympus PEN E-PM1 Preview for more details on the camera itself.
