Panasonic has announced the LUMIX G X VARIO 12-35mm/F2.8 standard zoom lens (model H-HS12035). This new lens has been designed for the company’s LUMIX G Series of Micro Four Thirds cameras, and is an exclusive member of the premium X series of lenses. It includes power optical image stabilization (O.I.S.) to reduce blur in stills as well as shaky video, and an F2.8 aperture rating across its entire 12-35mm zoom range (35mm camera equivalent: 24-70mm).
The lens is actually composed of 14 lenses in nine groups, and incorporates Panasonic’s Nanon Surface Coating technology to minimize reflections and improve precision from its widest angle to full zoom.
The Panasonic LUMIX G X VARIO 12-35mm/F2.8 ASPH./POWER O.I.S. (H-HS12035) lens will be available in black this August (2012).
