Panasonic to Debut Cloud-Based LUMIX CLUB and LUMIX LINK Smartphone App

Along with announcements for three new LUMIX series cameras (well, technically two NEW cameras and one updated model with a new kit lens), two new G-series lenses, and a firmware update for the DMC-LX5, Panasonic is also introducing a cloud-based service called “LUMIX CLUB.” 

Designed to work with the Wi-Fi capable, LUMIX DMC-FX90, LUMIX CLUB allows users to share photos on Facebook, Flickr, PIcasa, or YouTube.  LUMIX CLUB is accessible via a smartphone or a computer browser, and once a an account is created, Panasonic will provide users with the free “LUMIX LINK” dedicated app for Android OS and iPhones.  Using LUMIX LINK involves paring the DMC-FX90 to your smart phone and then using your smartphone’s data plan to upload the photos.  After this initial set up, LUMIX LINK will always be able to shared FX90 photos.
