Weatherproof, shockproof, and all the other “proofs” words we’re used to hearing when describing lifeproof digital cameras aimed at outdoorsy and sporty folks, Panasonic is using them to describe something else – a new line of ultra-tough memory cards.
There will be two different series of these cards. There’s the SDAB, which only offers capacities up to 32GB, but offers read/write speeds of up to 95/80MB/s, Then there’s the SDUB, which reaches 64GB, but only a 90/45MB/s read/write speed. Both series of cards will be on sale in Japan starting September 8th. There’s no word yet on a worldwide release date.
