You never really know what the future will hold, and that’s definitely true for photographer Mike Mitchell. In 1964, during the first US tour for The Beatles, he snapped some photos that ended up bringing in quite a bit of cash.
The collection of photographs sat idle in a box since they were originally taken and when rediscovered they were put up for auction at Christie’s where they were expected to bring in around $ 100,000. In total, the collection went for a whopping $ 361,937.
The shots are fantastic, and a must see for any Beatles fan or anyone interested in some very cool concert photography. Christie’s has the whole catalog available for viewing online.
