Here’s the scenario: you’re outside in the bright sunlight and you’ve just taken a photo that you think is a winner, but you can’t see the LCD screen on your camera. That’s a problem that Sony is hoping to fix with their new LCD screens.
To address the issue, Sony has added a white pixel into the normal red, blue and green mix. The company says that their new WhiteMagic tech analyzes the picture and adjusts the screen accordingly, eliminating image deterioration.
There isn’t any word from Sony on when we can expect to see these in new cameras, but the company hopes to add the efficient new displays into cameras and smartphones as soon as possible.
