Just a short while ago, the Nikon D800 took the title of the highest DxOMark score with a whopping 95. It didn’t last too long as the champ though – the D800E comes in at 96, thanks to a slight edge in every category but dynamic range.
The differences are incredibly small, but significant enough to merit a higher score, and photo quality that’s technically better – at least in a testing environment. The biggest difference seems to be the absence of an antialiasing filter on the D800E, resulting in sharper pictures overall.
