One of Nokia’s biggest releases for 2010 has been the Nokia N8. Featuring the full package of multimedia features, and a stunning digital camera offering a whopping 12 mega pixels, it is easy to see the appeal of this technology packed Smartphone.
Measuring 113.5x 59.1x 12.9 mm the Nokia N8 remains relatively compact given its long spec list and will easily fit into a pocket or handbag with its light weight of 135 g. Superb quality display is available thanks to the 3.5 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen which boasts the ability to display up to 16M colours within the confines of its 360x 640 pixel resolution. Additional features of the screen include multi-touch input method and an accelerometer sensor which automatically rotates the user interface based on the angle in which the phone is held.
A generous 16 GB of internal storage is provided as standard with the Nokia N8 which can hold a huge amount of files, however further expandable storage is made available in the shape of a microSD card slot which can accommodate a memory card of up to 32 GB. This offers the potential for users to store an entire digital music collection or a large number of videos within the phone.
The Nokia N8 relies and class 33 versions of both GPRS & EDGE to keep it connected to cellular networks whilst on the move. Access to the Internet is provided initially via an HSDPA connection at speeds of up to 10.2 mega bytes per second in areas covered by 3G.
