Not long ago we had to report the sad
news that another massive camera chain was shutting down. As it turns
out, the company will be sticking around, if in a limited form.
Jessops will live online from now on, thanks to a recent sale to a
group of investors that include entrepreneur and Dragon’s Den star
Peter Jones.
While it’s nice that the brand will
live on, the purchasers say that they have no intent to reopen any
physical stores. There’s also been no information yet on some of the
things that Jessops denied customers when they shut down, including
purchased equipment and gift cards. If the new Jessops holds to the
promises made by the old one, they could be making some very fast
friends.
