FujiFilm Announces New X-Series Camera; The FinePix X10

fujifilm_X10.jpgFujiFilm has just released information about another impressive rangefinder type camera, the FinePix X10. Following in the foot steps of the awesome FinePix X100, the X10 is a more affordable prosumer camera that still embraces high-quality features and performance; just in a more pocket book friendly manner. FujiFilm has not yet announced actual pricing, however we have a good idea that the X10 will be with in grasp for a larger majority of photogs than the X100 was/is.

This camera echoes the rangefinder look and feel we fell in love with on the X100, with a few subtle changes. While the image sensor is not quite as large (2/3″ vs APS-C), it’s still quite large by prosumer digicam standards, and FujiFilm has packed the X10 with several other appealing features. These include a high-quality FUJINON 4x manual zoom lens with 28-112mm equivalent range, fast F/2.0 – 2.8 maximum aperture range, burst shooting at up to 7fps at full resolution or 10fps at lesser settings, new optical image stabilization system built into the lens (cam driven, grease filled lens), ISO settings from 100 – 12,800, a 2.8″ LCD, and an OVF; all of which are packed into a sleek and stylish aluminium chassis. This camera oozes high-quality, with all other accents of the camera being made from machined magnesium alloy.
