Polaroid Launches the Digital Dua Flash

Polaroid-Dua-Flash.jpgPolaroid’s latest product isn’t designed for people who take video with their DSLRs and it’s not designed for people who take still photos. It’s designed for the folks who do both.

The Dua Flash – yeah, we thought it was called the Duo too – allows you to switch between a constant LED light for video and a flash for photographs. It utilizes a Power Zoom head to automatically set the correct exposure, as well as a diffuser and flash reflector.

“For 75 years, Polaroid has been the go-to brand that bridges the gap commonly found between accessories geared toward both professional and hobbyist photographers,” says Polaroid president Scott W. Hardy. “We’re excited to present easy-to-use, affordable products that photographers of all levels can rely on to enhance their photography experience.”

The Dua Flash comes in two models (PL-150 and PL-160) which are compatible with Nikon and Canon dSLRs. The models for Nikon cameras have PN in the model number, while the Canon compatible units have DC (e.g. PL-150DC). You can be purchase yours today directly from Amazon.com for $ 159.99 and $ 199.99, receptively.
