The trend which started a few years back continues – smartphones are taking the place of point-and-shoot cameras. The picture quality may not be totally up to snuff, but the convenience and simplicity of editing uploading photos without a computer is hard to beat. And of course, you can play games and make phone calls with the smartphone too.
Polaroid showed off its solution at CES – a camera that packs the Android operating system – and it seems they’re not the only ones who thought of it. Reports reveal that Panasonic and Samsung both have something in the works.
Nothing is set in stone for either company at this point. Both say that the Android camera is something they’ll be working with, but not necessarily the way they’ll go.
