We can’t all shell out tens of thousands of dollars for a movie camera, but thankfully we don’t really have to. Blackmagic’s latest is the Cinema Camera MFT, and it uses a Micro Four Thirds mount so you can keep on using the lenses from your Olympus EVIL camera while taking video with the Cinema Camera.
Blackmagic’s new camera has a 2.5k resolution and offers plenty of features to make life easier, like a Thunderbolt connection as well as USB 3.0. It sports a touchscreen so you can enter metadata on the fly and an SSD that can handle all of the industry standard file types. It even gives you 13 stops of dynamic range adjustment.
The Cinema Camera MFT will be available starting in December of this year at a price of $ 2,995.
