The International Garden Photographer of the Year (IGPOTY) is wrapping up submissions for its third contest of the year. “Weather Eye” is the theme and photographers are encouraged to explore different aspects of weather and its relation to plants.
Winners in each category get around $ 800 – the equivalent of 500 British pounds. Even if you don’t win your category, there’s a chance that your photo will be one of the hundred selected for consideration for the winning shot.
Winning the whole competition outright nets you a cool 5,000 pounds, which comes out to $ 8,142 at the time of this writing.
If you come home without a prize of any sort, you can still write to the IGPOTY judges for feedback on your work that should prove helpful in the future. You can enter the competition and read more at the IGPOTY site.
