Great for Panasonic LX5,
I went to a local camera shop looking for a case for my Panasonic LX5. Only found 2 cases that can acomodate LX5 and are not too big. But one looks so big and clunky. The other is a Tamrac 5691 that I need to squeeze it in. So I ended with nothng there.
I’m really glad to found a review on Amazon that mentioned this Kata DF-408 for LX5. So I ordered one and just received it. The case fit Panasonic Lx5 just right, no need to squeeze the camera in. It does not have a thick padding of protection like Lowepro or other brand. But I think it is ok and the case with LX5 inside still fit in my pocket. A big plus.
I’d recommend this case for the Panasonic LX5.

Finally! A great belt case for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5,
Much as I love using the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 10.1 MP Digital Camera with 3.8x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 3.0-Inch LCD (White), it’s been really tough to find a suitable belt case for it. Until now, I’ve used a Lowepro 50 that works well enough except that its Velcro flap is for the memory card or spare battery, rather than for the camera. That gives great protection, but led to missed shots as I wrestled with having to open both the flap and the zipper before gaining access to the camera.
The Kata DF-408 case is similar in size, but has no zippers. Its Velcro flap gives immediate access to the camera, and also covers a separately-Velcro-sealed small pouch just big enough to hold a spare battery and memory card. Like the Lowepro, the belt loop is very securely fastened with Velcro, but easily and quickly opened to don or remove the case from a belt.
Other details: 5 year warranty, and internal main compartment dimensions are: 7cm/2.75″ by 5cm/1.96″ wide by 11.5cm/4.5″ It casme with a nicely-made neck/shoulder strap I don’t plan to use.
Highly recommended for use with the Panasonic Lumix LX5.
