Kodak Restructures to Focus on Digital Products

Kodak-logo3.jpgKodak is a big name in the industry, but that name and the reputation they have was built almost entirely during the days of film. Once digital cameras became the standard Kodak started to struggle for an identity, leaving them at the point where analysts are forecasting bankruptcy for the company.

The folks at Kodak are getting ready to turn it all around. “Our future markets will be very different from our past,” says CEO Antionio Perez, “and we need to organize ourselves in keeping with that evolution.” He adds that the company’s new structure is all about simplicity and focus on just what the customers need.

Instead of a wide range of groups within the company with specific goals, things are split into the Consumer Segment and Commercial Segment. There will, of course, be divisions within those segments, but the overall focus will be more aligned to the market.
