Works well, the manual is AWFUL,
Works well for what we needed it for: to see which cat is dragging the trash out of trash cans during the day and scattering it all over our condo. The images are decent, though you do need to make sure there’s enough light. Leaving a room light on is plenty. We were able to identify the culprit easily once he was recorded by this little device.
PROS:
– decent image quality for the price – but only if the images you’re recording aren’t for archival purposes of course, but what do you expect for tis price?
– the motion sensor works, so you’re not recording hours of nothing
– small enough to set pretty much anywhere, so you can easily record pretty much anywhere
– small enough to tuck in a drawer when it’s not needed
CONS:
– no SD card included, not even a tiny one that only records 30 minutes, to get you started out of the box :-(
– the manual is AWFUL. I mean it’s it truly hideous. I’m no slouch at figuring out “Chinglish”, but I flipped through the pages when we got this, and just scanning, I could see that this was more than I could deal with….so I tossed the job of interpreting it to my dear hubby (poor guy). He was able to slog through it and get this thing to work, but it took him about 45 minutes total. Seriously, is this the best that can be done for writing a set of instructions?
Once he got it working, though, watching the video is easy. We just use a USB cable to watch on our Mac (yes, it works with Macs). Haven’t tried watching it on the device itself, and aren’t even gonna go there.
For a cheap, quickie spy cam for occasional surveillance, this will do the job.
