Nikon Issues a Recall on Overheating Li-ion EN-EL15 Batteries Used in D7000 and D800 Cameras

Nikon-battery-recall.jpgThere have only been seven cases confirmed worldwide, but that’s enough for Nikon to issue a voluntary recall of their Li-ion EN-EL15 batteries. If you’re a D7000, D800, D800E or V1 user, you’ll want to check out your battery to make sure it’s okay.

Take a look at your battery. If the ninth digit in the serial number has an E or an F, it’s time to call Nikon. If not, you’re good to go.

Nikon can be contacted at 1-800-645-6687 or through their recall website. For more details, check out Nikon’s service advisory.
