Six New Lumix Models Announced from Panasonic, Along with a New Micro 4/3 Lens

G5s_H_FS014042_slant.jpgHot off the press, Panasonic has just unveiled six new Lumix digital cameras; the DMC-G5, DMC-LX7, DMC-FZ200, DMC-FZ60, DMC-LZ20, and the DMC-SZ5. Ranging from easy to use point-n-shoots, to sophisticated Prosumer models, these new Lumix cameras update five of Panasonic’s popular camera lines.

Alongside the new G5, Panasonic released a new telephoto zoom lens; the LUMIX
G VARIO 45-150mm F4.0-5.6 MEGA O.I.S. (model # H-FS45150). This new lens is designed specifically for use with Micro Four Thirds cameras, with an equivalent zoom range of 90-300mm. It boasts Optical Image Stabilization, an ultra-compact body, and it’s light weight. This unit is made up of 12 elements in 9 groups; including one UHR (Ultra High Refractive) lens and two aspherical lenses. Like the cameras above, pricing is to be announced at a later date. However, we do know that the lens will be offered in Black or Silver finish.
