Tamron’s latest contest has wrapped up and a winner has been declared. Carolyn Derstine picked up the prize for her exhibit simply titled “Backyard macros.”
“Carolyn demonstrates an ability to produce excellent images with a variety of subjects in nature,” says contest judge Mike Moats. “All images are creatively composed in the frame, have good lighting, and nice sharp details.”
Carolyn started taking photography seriously in 2008 when she stopped teaching kindergarten full time. She is self taught and is fascinated by macro photography. She has two different macro exhibits up on the site now.
