New operating systems are exciting. They promise improved functionality, better compatibility with the latest and greatest tech and a prettier interface. Of course, if you use programs that aren’t the latest and greatest you might run into an issue.
The folks at Nikon are currently testing programs like Capture NX2, Camera Control Pro 2 and ViewNX 2 and will be announcing its compatibility plans for these programs once the testing is complete. Likely it won’t take much to get these patched up to the latest standards.
If you use older programs though, you may be out of luck. Nikon has stated that they will not provide compatibility for older versions of these programs, so if it doesn’t work now it’s not going to work any time soon.
