Rollei’s new 5S actioncam packs a range
of features to please action photographers and POV videographers alike, including a 14-megapixel CMOS sensor, 10-times digital zoom, and full
HD shooting at 30fps. You can step that up to 60fps if you drop the
quality down a touch from 1080p to 1080i – not the biggest
sacrifice in the world.
The Actioncam 5S WiFi looks very similar to GoPro’s Hero series of POV cameras, and is designed with
safety in mind. It’s shockproof from heights of up to three meters
and is waterproof down to 60 meters with the included case. It’s also able to be controlled
remotely from up to 10 meters away with your smart device, making it nice and safe for the
person operating the camera as well.
The Rollei Actioncam 5S WiFi will be
available towards the end of May at EUR 349 in both Outdoor and Motorbike editions.
