Tips for using a Canon SX100 IS digital camera?

I just got a Canon SX100 IS digital camera, and a 4GB card.

I was wondering if anybody has any tips for using this particular camera.

And how good is the image stablezation

    Image stabilization on any camera is an aid to prevent blur caused by minor camera movement. Don’t expect to be able to hand hold the camera shooting at 360mm and 1/30 sec. It doesn’t make the impossible possible.

    The best tip for using that particular camera is read that particular cameras user manual so you thoroughly know how to use it. If you want the best images you can get learn at least the basics of photography so you’ll know what effect the various camera settings have on your images.
